Daitokoro
Typically used as a living room, the ima is a multifunctional flexible space where the family carries out daily activities such as dining and sleeping. It connects to the chanoma and can be combined with it when needed to create a spacious bedroom area.
The ima was once opened up to the chanoma to serve as a bedroom, with walls added to create a bathroom area. During restoration, it was returned to its original layout.
