SPACE INTRO

あまど Shutter

Nakaniwa

00:00 / 00:40

An amado is a movable storm shutter designed to protect the interior from wind and rain. When in use, it is taken out from the tobukuro (shutter pocket) and placed onto the tracks, serving as a barrier to safeguard the inside.

When not in use, the amado is stored inside the tobukuro. The exterior side of the tobukuro features a structure similar to rain boards, effectively protecting the stored shutters from the elements; the interior side is connected to the outer wall and has openings that allow the shutters to be taken out.
